Emulsion and Slurry Pipeline Separator
The Magnattack® Emulsion & Slurry Pipeline Separator is an inline magnetic separator designed for high-viscosity liquid food & slurry applications. It ensures pipeline safety by providing effective management of foreign metal contaminants. The pipeline magnets intercept the product flow and efficiently remove metal debris, including work-hardened stainless steel and stone particles.
Overview
The Magnattack® Emulsion & Slurry Pipeline Separator is an efficient, sanitary, and advanced magnetic separation system to extract tiny metal fragments from thick and viscous liquids, slurries, and emulsion lines. Equipped with robust, high-intensity +11,000 gauss Acutex® Magnet Probes, this separator intercepts the product flow to effectively remove metal fragments, including work-hardened stainless steel and stone particles.
This magnetic separator’s uniquely designed probes allow viscous emulsions and slurry products to move around the magnet with minimum resistance to flow. The peak of the probe ensures that collected magnetic fragments are washed to the back of the probe, which greatly reduces the risk of recontamination caused by the impact of the product flow. The patented Emulsion & Slurry Pipeline Separator is a versatile, sanitary, and easy-to-clean solution that will prevent leaks and blockages, ensuring minimal pressure buildup and enhancing emulsion pipeline safety.

Explore the FAQs below to get started.
What is the average weight of a complete unit?
Average weight of 36 lbs (16.32 kg) but varies based on the unit being installed.
What makes a Magnattack magnet probe ideal for processing thick products?
Magnet probes from Magnattack are manufactured with the highest quality material available to ensure that it will maintain its strength for several years. The structural integrity associated with thinner diameter magnets in thick products, such as slurries, will bend the probes and break them causing exposure to toxic materials and leakage into the product flow.
What is the heat temperature rating of the probes?
Magnattack RE80HT models can withstand product and CIP cleaning temperatures up to 302°F (150°C).
What makes the Acutex Probe Magnet unique?
The Acutex Probe Magnet is exclusively offered by Magnattack. Its unique hydrodynamic design provides a laminar product flow path around the magnet, minimizing pressure backup. Additionally, it guides captured metal fragments to the back of the probe, where they are securely held on the magnet in the low pressure zone, keeping them away from the direct impact of the flow and lowering the risk of recontamination. The Acutex probe magnets, which are highly sanitary, will also help prevent product bridging and build-up.
What is the average weight of a magnetic probe?
Average weight is 3.3 lbs to 10 lbs (1.5 kg to 4.5 kg) but varies based on the length of the bar.
