Protect crushers, de-stemmers, pumps, and screw flights from tramp iron contaminants such as vine fencing staples, wires, nails, fasteners, metal brackets and tools, and wear particles from harvesters and other machinery with the Magnattack® Multi-Finger Receival Bin Magnet. This magnet features multiple high-intensity RE80® Finger Bars, angled downwards into the product stream for effective separation.
While the Multi-Finger Receival Bin Magnet can be supplied for high-volume, bulk handling machine protection food industry applications, it is especially popular in winery grape receival areas, where it plays a vital role in preventing damage to expensive equipment and minimizing costly maintenance. Where should I install the Receival Bin Magnet?
We recommend installing Receival Bin Magnets between intake bins and de-stemmers. Typically installed under an auger outlet on a heavy-duty adjustable mounting.
What types of contamination does the Receival Bin Magnet collect?
Common contamination includes magnetic foreign material, such as vine fencing staples, pieces of wire, nails, fasteners, small to medium-sized metal brackets and tools, and wear particles which originate from harvesters and other machinery.
Will a Receival Bin Magnet obstruct the flow?
The magnet will be positioned in the product flow in a declined position which means the bulky product will be able to roll down the magnet and off the end. The Dimple-Mag Plate Magnet has a Dimpled surface to agitate the flow and minimize risk of leafy matter getting caught.
What if the magnet doesn’t fit?
Three types of receival bin magnets are available, and can be retrofitted to your existing equipment layout with assistance from our engineering team. Depending on the design, the magnets can be mounted on the side of your equipment or suspended in the product stream.
