Overview
The Magnattack® Rotary Grate Magnetic Separators are engineered to remove ferrous and magnetic particles from product flows prone to clogging and bridging in stationary magnetic grates. Its rotary action prevents product bridging within the process stream and helps break up soft lumps and sticky materials. Utilizing unique RE80 Bar Technology, the Magnattack Rapidclean® Rotary Magnet design enhances product-to-magnet contact, offering a superior performance compared to conventional grate magnets.

Why are the bars of this magnet only mounted on one end?
Magnattack incorporates its exclusive Rapidclean principle, making it compatible with the Rapidclean wiper tool. This allows contaminants to be pushed along the length of the bar to the non-magnetic fixed end using the specially provided cleaning tool. The main objective is to streamline the cleaning process, offering a more efficient solution than traditional rotary-style magnets, while minimizing direct operator contact with the magnet’s working surface.
In which applications would a Rotary Magnet be most beneficial?
Rotary magnets are more effective for hydroscopic powders that are difficult-to-flow. The agitation from the magnet helps prevent bridging and dislodges excess powder buildup to maintain throughput efficiency.
What are the chances of dust leakage?
The Rapidclean Rotary Magnet features a unique air-purged seal to prevent passage from internal or external transfer. The rotary seal maintains a low pressure of 10-15 psi, which places positive pressure on the sealing surface for maximum efficacy.
What is the significance of the cone on the end of the magnet bar?
The cone at the end of the magnet bar provides structural support for longevity of the magnet strength. The base cone also aids the cleaning process, as this shape allows contaminants to be pushed up onto the low strength area of the cone where they can be released from the magnet during cleaning.
